I may have to drag it out of the garage as I have no trailer...
hopefully it still moves. I've got next week off as holiday, as a
coincidence. I was planning on a bimble around France, but I may have
to buy a Haynes manual and stay at home and work out what an engine
    looks like.

Now... when I see it tomorrow, what should I do... put the key in,
turn and press the ignition and wait for Death's sweet kiss to take me
or wheel it to Cheriton Motorcycles and say HELLO. IT SMELLS OF
PETROL A BIT, CAN YOU SEE WHERE IT'S COMING FROM and smile madly?

Also, wheel it to Cheriton with completely fucked arm for maximum
    effect.

If it moves I'll wheel it to Cheriton Motorcycles and see what they
think, if it's something that they can normally play with.
The police did say I could just leave it at the side of the road to
which I said "Oh yeah, that way when someone nicks it I can claim on
the insurance" at which point they called KAP to recover it.

That scruffy old Voyager that I couldn't be pried out of last weekend has
been down the road more than once.

    BGN says...
Ask KAP if they can deliver it to your home or either Cheriton M/cycles
or Alford Brothers. Find out how much they charge for this first. It
will be worth asking either Alfords or Cheriton how much they'd charge
to collect it and do a proper assessment on how much to make it
roadworthy. By this I mean what it needs to make it safe to use, not
neccesarily A1 condition. A dented tank will still hold fuel, a scraped
exhaust will still work well enough in most cases. Things like
footrests, indicators and handlebar levers will probably need
replacing, but there will be a lot that you can get away with just
    leaving as scraped or bashed.

Don't you start. I'll set SteveH on you.

[an aside, please feel free to ignore]
When I went to school we did not have the option to learn Welsh in
Monmouthshire. I still have a wall map that says "Great Britain showing
England, Scotland, Wales & Monmouthshire" as the county was claimed by
    both nations.

IRL very few people, especially Welsh people, think I'm Welsh from my
accent. Until recently I've always lived within a few miles of the point
where Herefordshire/Monmouthshire/Gloucestershire meet in the Wye Valley
near The Doward. My accent is a hybrid and varies depending on who I am
speaking to as the dialects are markedly different in geographically
    close areas.

Sadly, as with many areas the local dialects are being eroded as
subcultures are more important to young people than local identity.
There is an upside though: the majority of young people are not racist,
homophobic cunts like the generation that I went to school with.

No fucking chance. Look at your labels in your gear, amte. They will
say something to the effect of "This garment is not PPE (Personal
Protective Equipment) and should not be construed as such". Pretty
    good getout.
One gets what one pays for, generally (with certain obvious
    exceptions, obviously).
