Hmm, those coppers didn't really seem to know what they're doing..

"Do we have a fixed penalty for undertaking?"
    "Is that the blues?"

"86 mph average, it's not excessive is it? But we'll do them for
    speeding and due care".

    Muppets.

On the other hand, whoever was in front took a while to spot them
behind when they were pulling you over...

I'm the same. Any car the catches up with me or sits close behind me
I worry about. Normally I'll pull over and let them go past so I can
    have a look inside.

Are you trying for a YTC number?

  6. Right, well. The bastards. Just to echo what others have said:
    the coppers are a pair of bored idiots who don't know the law;
that bit of filtering looked completly fine to me.

Whatever you decide to do, good luck.

Not really, no. I know that Veggie is into filming, etc, but I don't
know too much about what he does. (Sorry Veggie, but I've not surfed
    your websites)

I may have missed summat (as in a previous post, etc), but I didn't
know that tapes of offences are given out.

Was it that Adie/darsy were given the tape and then Veggie digitized
    it?

Congratulations Cab that is the correct answer, and now the final prize
    winning question.

If Bob and Sue are 50 miles apart and Bob starts walking at 4 MPH 30
degrees perpendicular to Sue and Sue runs at 10 MPH towards Bob at and
angle of 45 degrees. What's the name of Sues uncle Peters dog

    It's not a dog, it's a marmoset.

us all completely to death with wittery prose along the lines of:

Ah, I didn't know that tapes were made available, in the same way that
GATSO photo's were. Has this always been the case, or is it the fact
that a court appearance dictates that both parties have all necessary
    evidence?

How about reposting to uk.legal? There are some magistrates who
read it and might give you their opinion.

    Apologies to Ivan.

However, would it only be sub judice if by publishing the video it would
have an effect on any subsequent proceedings?

    Good idea.

Use that to find a solicitor, then ask if he has a solicitors yellow
pages.... Or if he knows Ade.

    ;-)

    Ginge, Feb 18, 2004
  19. If *only* we had someone who posted to this newsgroup
who knows Ade. We could ask them to ask Ade if he
knows Ade! Surely *someone* knows someone who knows
    Ade.
