Why do Triumphs cost more in the UK than in the USA, Canada,
    Australia, Mexico, and RSA?

Here are some prices off of their site, converted to pounds at current
exchange rates for the Rocket III:

    USA 7,688
    Canada 10,290
    Australia 11,471
    Mexico 11,484
    RSA 12,233
    UK 12,399

You didn't look at the Scandijj site:

    179,990.00 DKK = 16,814.47 GBP

    **** that's harsh.

Of course, some of the differences are down to currency fluctuations
too, but taxes clearly still differ. My local markets give:

    CH 26990 CHF = 11,209.56 GBP
    FR 18010 EUR = 12,534.90 GBP

which works out as a pretty similar base if you factor in the VAT rate
of 7.5% in CH and 19% in France.

Sadly, given that we effectively live in both countries, I've had to
pay the extra French tax as well on vehicles bought (and registered)
    in CH.

    Greece: 21 990 EUR = 15 357.6 GBP
and Greek wages are nowhere near Norse or British ones.

They have taxes in the USA too. This will add (depending on the
locale) less than 10% to the total cost. Of course shipping and
tariffs will be reflected in the price. It looks like your British
taxes are adding about 70% to the cost. Are Triumphs made in England?

Sure but I would EXPECT it to cost a little bit more in France. I am
not in England BTW nor do I wish to buy a Triumph, just wondering
    about your economics of motorcycles.

There's nothing stopping you from buying a bike abroad. Just all the
hassle of registering it in your country of residence.
