It could equally be down to gangs of little pixies wearing inside-out
raisens as gloves, dangling themselves off the side of your bike to
    stop you straightening up.

You think all that crap on your fairing is crushed flies? Dried raisen
pith. Just taste it, that's the giveaway.

ITYM the other way round: "I thought centripetal force was what them wot
don't know the proper terminology call the centrifugal force".

They are exact opposites of one another and while I may not know or
understand the physics behind the whole shebang I really did mean the
    centrifugal force. Honest.

<g> Can I just say that you and I have very different thoughts as we
corner hard. Mine are equally visceral but much less cerebral.

I reckon that's about right. Try to lift the front wheel and it's
likely to be hello Mr Tarmac, my name is Mr Arse. All IMHO though, I'm
sure it works out just fine for those who can ride.

It did with me too, I was finding myself going faster into bends and
hitting the gas better on the way out. The bike seemed more planted and
    smooth.
Needless to say, I did not lift the front wheel to test the theory. I
am sure some of these top notch riders lift the wheels coming out of
corners while still leaning over, I mostly see the crashes not the
successful ones as they fly by like a blur when we're on pickup duty.
