I put mine on a cool delicates with just a smidgen of powder.

What's the recommended method for cleaning them then? Especially after your
sick cat has just pissed on it!

Actually, I don't have a cat and it's only now I see your cat pissed on
it rather than the puke I saw...

Don't worry about, bikers are supposed to smell of wee anyway.

Normally machine wash, with special detergent if it's gore-tex or
similar, is remarkably effective at removing all known forms of dirt
    and smell...

except for cat piss. Throw it away now and save yourself the washing
    costs.

Try Nikwax, and use paper/liners in the litter tray rather than your
    jacket.

We grew up and found that women much preferred us if we washed.

But many still haven't found out about the joys of moisturiser and
hand cream and, as such, end up looking like old prunes.

I find moisturiser is best applied to ones hands as a by-product of
rubbing it into ones other-half's back. This will invariably lead to a
further exchange of cream of a different type.

  17. I have a theory about this: people who use moisturiser all the time
will eventually turn off the natural oil-producing cells in the skin
and therefore make themselves dependant on said gunk. Which leads to
greater use of moistureiser. Which makes more profit for the
manufacturer and traps you in their clutches for all time. All this is
confirmed by the 'free samples' that drop through the letterbox - they
just want to addict you to their evil product.

    Moistureiser - just say no.

It's all relative. How much did you disgust them _before_ the wash?
