I followed the excellent advice from you lot out there and last
weekend bought a pair of Daytona Roadstars GTX. Came home in some
bloody awful wet, it came straight at me horizontally and then jumped
up off the motorway just to make sure, but my feet stayed dry, these
boots are in old Essex - WELL GOOD.

I was also told to buy them from Flitwick cos the man was really nice
    - again excellent advice. Had a really enjoyable ride even if it was
the M25 and M1, as soon as I got there he put the kettle on, and
clearly knows what he is talking about and doesn't try to con you, a
better shop is hard to imagine. As suggested I said the magic words
associated with UKRM and won the prize.

Thank you folks for such outstanding advice. I have warm dry feet and
    a happy smile.

But he does it so nicely that you really don't mind and go back for
more. The hallmark of a perfect salesman.

You're telling me. I'll probably end up back there for some Daytona
boots too, and possibly the new lid.

**** that. The boots, yeah - but what's the point in going all that
way for a helmet you could get in the next town to where you live?

  7. I *like* being well sold to.

The absolute top-of-the-tree salesmanship, IMHO, was the bod in Tangier
who flogged me a rug this summer.

another one not paying attention - he'll go out of his way to buy it
there /because he read on ukrm that that was what you're supposed to
    do/ - duh!

Yeah but being mugged doesn't usually leave one with new decent foot or
    outer wear...

And that is why every ukrmer is a clone of every other - riding a
litre-engined sports UJM, dressed in black leather which smells
strongly of wee and faintly of beeswax, wearing HG Pathan Lobsters and
Daytona GTX boots and a Uvex double-glazed lid ...

that's just the Bedfordshire massive, rather than ukrmers in general,
    surely...

I'd love to get a Uvex double-glazed lid, but I can't seem to find any
fucker within 50 miles of Bristol that flogs them.

I have a sneaking suspicion Lozzo is going to end up flogging me a Nitro lid
    at the bike show...

I haven't a clue who stocks them any more.
Nope, I'm not working at the bike show this year, for Nitro or GLF
    Accessories.

Nitro don't sell to the general public directly, we have a dealer
network that we look after for that sort of thing. We aren't even
displaying our products there, just at the trade show next January.

You may find one or two retail outlets at the show with Nitro on their
stands if you want to buy one.

I have occasion to visit folk in the area now and then, so I'll combine
it with that. I have looked for the boots locally, but no dice so far.

As the lid is a little more available I'll compare prices and buy it
    from the cheapest place.
