Continued...Decap of American

Okay, after looking at this video through it's entirety and then
looking at small areas where it might be important, I've come to the
conclusions:

1) Berg (or whoever was on the floor) was not alive when this occured.

For anyone who's ever slaughtered a live animal...I'm talking walking
out to the pen and cutting their throat for evening dinner...will know
that blood pumps hard through their neck and from their head. What is
in the video is just a small pool that eventually forms from under the
body. There isn't even blood that pours from the head after it's held
up.

Another thing that struck me was that there's no struggling when the
camera is turned back on. There's only movement as they (the people
who aren't tied) move the body around while cutting the throat.

2) The people in the video don't appear to be the same as a "typical"
person of middle eastern descent.

If you watch the people in the video and pay close attention to the
one on the extreme right and the tallest one, you'll notice that they
aren't built or move like someone who's from that descent. They move
and are built like someone who's from English descent.

3) The fumbling of papers during the reading.

If you pay close attention, the "reader" fumbles with papers while he
reads and doesn't seem to be doing anything. I don't know if this is
"typical" for how people in Iraq read, but I know when I read, I tend
to look at the papers and "read".

4) The cut in video between when they pull out the knife and when they
are cutting.

There's a slight change in the video where the camera actually appears
to go off and then on again where it's out of focus. When it comes
back on, there's no movement from the body and this is where you'd
expect to see some serious blood spewing out...but rather you only see
the cutting with little to no blood. It's a close up, so you get a
pretty good look at the action...but no blood. (notice I keep going
back to that..."no blood")

5) The video is time stamped where the time is running.

If you watch the video, there's actually a jump in the time of almost
two minutes (which is how I know the camera went off) from the time
they threw him to the floor and the time they started cutting.

This whole thing doesn't look right and the timing is suspicious.

Now, y'all can start screaming about "bush-hating" and "politics", but
I know what I see and what I see is phoney from the word "go". There's
too many problems with this video. I'm not even going to start the
typical speculations about how he's sitting in a orange prison
jumpsuit or in a chair that's also found in the videos of the prison.
I'm also not going to go into the "echoes" and speculate what they are
caused by. If you'd care to try out my views, then go find an animal
like a pig or calf or something and slit their throat...then you tell
me if what's in that video is real.

Please don't view my observations as being an argument against yours -
they're not - These are simply my observations & feelings on the matter.

I finally viewed the video yesterday, (dl'ed from consumption junction)...
I dunno - I see the same things you do in the video (fidgiting guy on the
right, fumbling of papers, etc...) - and I think it's legit... Yes - they
may have cut & spliced some frames together - maybe Berg did fight back,
and they simply took those scenes out to make the Americans look like sheep
going to slaughter that won't fight back... The fumbling of papers makes
me think that he had the papers written out in advance, he probably wrote
them out himself, so knew intimately what was going to be recited... The
masks they wore made it hard for him to see & find what page to go to
next... I think he knew what was to be said, but had the papers as a backup
to make sure he said all that he intended, without forgetting any points...
Then again, it all sounded foreign to me...

Jumpsuit? One theory - It *could* be from an Iraqi citizen that was
released from the US camps, and he turned it in to be used for the Iraqi
side's prisoners... Just a theory, and not a far-fetched one..

The guy on the right.. I dunno - people come in all shapes & sizes...
Without seeing his face, it'd be hard to tell if he was of any particular
descent - from what we didn't see...

I can say this, though... maybe it was my crappy system speed or an old
video card, but the video & sound were not synchronized very well on my
downloaded copy... so I heard the screms - but I don't know when it was
supposed to be synchronized with the video - or who the screams belonged to
: Berg? The attackers (adrenaline rush fight scream)? Dubbed in after? I
dunno...

Again - I think it's my computer system... if they did cut his head off
from back to front, as it appears in the video, then Berg wouldn't have
been in much pain for long... depending on how quickly the spinal cord got
cut. I don't know that I'd classify the pool of blood under the torso
(where the head had been plled away) as being small.. it looked pretty
darned big to me...Remember - when you were a kid and filled water balloons
up, and would splat them on the road or sidewalk, it always looked like
there was less water footprint on the sidewalk than what you "know" you
filled the balloon up with... I think the size of the bloodstain can be
deceiving...

I voted for Bush... And I won't do THAT again - I think that he's gone
against what the Republicans (advertise to) stand for - with a conservative
approach to Gov't in people's lives... And not specifically with matters
relating to the "war"... He and his administration are forcing the
government in people's lives, and removing rights (and priveledges) of US
citizens to live live the way they choose... He's lobbying for religious
right votes in November.

To me - democrats don't offer a right answer (for me) - and the libertarian
voters have to face the fact that they'll always be viewed by the
mainstream as kooks who want pot legalized (yes - that's a generalization,
and not intended by me to upset anyone - but it's the preconceived attitude
seen).

Oh well... Yesterday was a great day to ride... I drove from Richardson out
to Justin, Tx for a friend's 40th birthday surprise party.. Lots of other
bikes on the road on the way there... Met lots of good people, had a lot
of fun, listened to a great band (Eleven Hundred Springs is the band's
name), and had a nice, cold ride home in the wee hours of this morning...
Now gotta mow the yard...

I don't know if it's your system, but what I viewed it on was my
Athlon with a 128meg AGP video card and a Sound Blaster Live 5.1 with
surround speakers and sub. I have a 19" CTX monitor and use the system
to watch DivX movies. I downloaded the file so I could see it and then
catch the points in it.

Anyway, the video and sound were the same as what you say. I read one
posting in another group that gave a play-by-play and was saying that
Berg was screaming "get off me" and also throwing in profanities. The
post was saying Berg was screaming while choking on his blood and on
and on and on. I didn't see or hear the same and it might be that
there's several files out there, but I just didn't hear it.

You might be correct about the jumpsuit theory. I just find it "odd"
that the jumpsuit, chair, wall, floor and the echoes all go with what
we've seen in the prison pictures and videos. I also find it odd (and
I didn't say this before because I didn't want to turn into a
conspiracy nut) that Iraqi police say they turned Berg over to the FBI
and the FBI deny it. If they had turned him over, he more than likely
would've ended up in the prison where they are detaining Iraqi
prisoners. Throwing out the entire theories, I find it "odd" that the
same person the media and administration is saying was the one who
read from the papers is the same one that is wanted by the US and is
the same one who is reported to have masterminded the Madrid train
bombing. He seems to get in and out of Iraq pretty well...and not to
mention have access to jumpsuits, chairs, walls and floors that look
an awfully lot like the prison in abu gharib.

I wasn't wanting to turn into another political thread. I just wanted
to point out my observations of the video and my thoughts on it.

Just got done with the yard myself.

I've been fighting with my helmet and tried a new theory to solve the
problem with the helmet by taking the windshield off the bike. I rode
out onto the highway and found a cool spot to air it out. I popped up
over 125mph and not a single bobble from the front of the bike and had
plenty to spare. The visor on the helmet didn't budge until I looked
back and then it damn near took my head off. DANG! Well, I went to put
the windshield back on and as luck would have it I can't seem to get
it to tighten up. I have the mounts as tight as they seem to go, but
the shield is still wobbling around. Short of taking it back off and
beating the crap out of the guy who sold me the helmet with the
windshield, I don't know what else to do with it.

I'm done for the night and will worry about it later!

You're right, everyone who views the video and can see the areas that
don't make sense or "add up" is a "kook" and gets it from another
"board 2 days ago".

I don't know what "board" you're talking about, but perhaps you might
want to start listening if everyone who watches this video is seeing
the same things.

Oh, I just top-posted because you always do...I'm not normally this
rude to everyone else, I just wonder if this is the only way you read.

Why do we

The fascination seems to extend to the upper echelons of our government..
Even our esteemed senators are taking to the floors of our legislature with
this horrible atrocity.. Jame Inholfe(sp), one of several leaders who are
using this brutal incident to justify the outrages and atrocities that have
been committed in violation of the Geneva accords, against prisoners held by
our government.. Questions are being raised by those who have viewed this
video tape, concerning it's authenticity .. Questions are being raised about
WHO actually killed Nick Berg and by whose orders.. I haven't viewed the
video, only the pictures that are being broadcast.. Those are difficult to
avoid, since they are being aired several times each day on newscasts.. Some
of the questions raised, are legitimate, some are not.. Isn't it truly
frightening that our governing leaders have created such a political
environment, that raises such widespread doubt about every action of their
own integrity ?

From the reports, Berg's family is leading the charge to get to the bottom
of this brutal execution of their loved one.. The "respect" for him would be
better served, if we get all the answers to determine responsibility for his
death..then prosecute those who gave the orders..There are so many
legitimate questions that have not been answered..

backside", but that's probably because someone who I know isn't upset
over it.

For the record, it's reported today that the "future" president of
Iraq was just killed in a bombing. The "administration" has rushed to
place another person in the guy's place.

I just want to know what is going on over there that so many people
are willing to take at face value and blindly support. Don't you?

I suppose that I could see how one might make the same
observations and come to the conclusions that you have.

If I remember correctly the CIA confirmed the authenticity of
the tape and the voice of the guy reading, or giving the speech. If
that is the case, then it's a huge govt. cover up and scam. As much
as I have to agree that it is possible, I don't think it's probable.
More so, unless that it is proved to be a fake and that the govt. is
completely scamming us I'd like to have at least a little faith in the
system.

I don't think anyone has any doubts that Nick Berg was executed.. The
executioner was almost immediately named .. He is supposedly the same man
named as responsible for the Madrid bombings.. This man has been reported in
other diabolical actions around the world.. As a fugitive, so well known
around the world and so easily identifiable, since he apparently has lost a
leg, he seems to appear and disappear at will.. There have been no
observations of a handicapped man wearing a prostetic limb in the video or
any of the pictures.. It is my impression that the man who executed Berg,
was moving freely and without encumbrances.. Other discrepancies in this
video and the pictures causing one to speculate about where this brutality
occurred..The identities of the executioners seem to be in question.. Little
things like the identical baseboards in the room are identical to baseboards
in some of the spaces in Abu Graib prison.. Wall colorings are the same..
Chairs being used are the same .. The prison garb jumpsuit is identical..
The questions arising from these discrepancies lead to more speculation..
Our leaders of our government have established a pattern of misleading and
deceiving us, with outright lies, and forged documents.. Is it any wonder
that many can only suspect the worst from them.? Questions of import are
continually ignored .. Answers which only distract are the norm.. This
administration has elected to govern behind a shroud of secrecy that has
never been equalled .. Other disclosures are developing almost daily.. Maybe
we will get at the truth about many things, in the near future.. At least we
do live in a society that still has the freedom to ask the questions..

I don't think you are the only one. I spoke to several people who
have no desire to see it and I even told people that they probably
shouldn't see it. On some twisted level, I felt a need to witness
this. Not to satisfy some sick desire to see another human murdered,
but because I do support the war effort. It's hard to explain, but to
me it is respectful to bear witness to the brutality that he suffered.
Not that I think you are disrespectful for not wanting to see it, but
I do think it's disrespectful to not allow people to witness and
understand what is taking place. I made another post / comment
similar to that about the 9/11 footage. To me, it's very similar.


BTW - I am not one of these people that criticize movies like Kill
Bill or whatever....each to their own.

Your reasons for seeing this video have been clear .. You damn sure don't
owe anyone any apology.. I haven't seen the video.. I have discussed it with
some who have seen it.. What a pity that our political leaders have created
such an environment for us to live in.. Hand in there, my good friend.. I
am certain that you and I will still be on the same page when we get through
this horrible time that we are going through, together..

I can't say I watched it repeatedly, but since I didn't complain about
either of those movies, then I'm not addressed by the question either.

 

I made note of that also.

There wasn't enough struggle for a man who wasn't drugged at least.

Didn't see that, but then I never saw the time line you mentioned, probably
multiple vids out there.

Brian, I'm going to take your word on all this because I have no desire to
go back and check. It stirred an emotional response I don't want to bring
back up.

As a civilized society we should be avoiding war, and maybe sometimes we
have no choice but to go to war. But maybe a reminder of the actual
brutality of it all is good to once again remind us why peace is preferred.
Something to etch in our minds what its really about to those that have to
live through it each day.
