Continental breakdown insurance

Never bothered with it before, but with a long trip to Malaga and onto
North Africa coming up I guess it may be a reasonable precaution. Who
does anyone use ? And, of course, are they any good and how much ?

I've been lucky not to need to use the cover. Alistair at MCi Tours reckons
Europ Assist is on a par with the Carole Nash scheme. The policy wording is
very similar as I have both (CN bike, EA on the car).

Many of the GS owners on UKGSer take their bikes to Africa. You won't get
breakdown cover for there. When I went to Croatia my plan was to pay
someone to take the bike in a van to the Slovenia border. Seems this is the
recommendation in the FAQ at UKGSer.

Was good the last time I used it, but oddly enough I didn't have to use
it since they've been taken over.

So it seems, been insured with them for years and never noticed !! The
issue would seem to have resolved it's self !
