It's that time again.........need a new set of tyres for the Bandit 1200
having gone through another Roadtec Z6 in 3k miles. There seems to be a good
write up about the Conti's but I'd rather hear views from the real world as
opposed to adverts and magazine test riders.

I would describe myself as a fast road rider even though the bike is fitted
with a wingrack and often Givi luggage - I've been able to stay with the
GSXR boys on my favourite route so this will give you some idea of riding
    style.

The front Z6 looks fine for a few thousand more miles so I am debating
sticking another Z6 on the rear but 3k miles is a bit less than I would
like. Other mileages experienced are shown below (I go through between 3 and
    4 sets per year).

    4755 Bridgestone 020 Rear
    5000 Bridgestone 010 Front
    5000 Bridgestone 020 Rear
    4800 Bridestone 010 Front
    3500 Bridgestone 020 Rear

    changed as a pair

I've covered less than 100 miles on the pair I had fitted to the VFR.

So far, they feel pretty good, but I'm a fairly sedate rider and they're
not really run in yet, and anything would feel decent compared with the
totally shagged 020s I had on it before.

They have a massively deep tread on them, so unless they're made from
cheese they should last a while.

Just for info, RoadRacer magazine recently did a blind test of eight
tyres (using a couple of national champions rather than journos), & the
ContiForce Max came last. I have no idea how it differs to the Road
Attacks though so the above may be completely irrelevant.
