It'll seem a bit tame after the Ural.

There is no cold. There's only inadequate equipment.

Ah, now the extreme beer consumption of 8 days in the Czech Rep. has worn
off I sort of see that it's a bike only type thing.

The winch [1] could be useful as well.

[1] that ain't my winch in the picture..

I respectfully disagree with you. Having lived in the eifel for 4 years
and having all the required kit, I say it was fucking cold and I don't
want to be that cold anymore.

It might get a bit tedious if it was four years, but actually it'll just be
    a long weekend.

I'll be there. Shite old bikes, long distances and alcohol with added
    fire what's not to like?

Right, what I would like. What I would really really like is a removable
lightweight Cargo Sidecar which would fit the R100RS Mono.

Beer, genny, beer, firewood, BBQ, beer, large tent, beer, 4 season bags,
    beer

Has to free or very cheap mind and someone has to know how to fit/set up.
I've had off road tyres on an R100 before.

In fact I like the idea of something so QD you load it up, head to your
chosen camping destination with a kitchen sink, pitch camp and take it off
    for solo use.

Heh I suppose it would be indecent to have a SOB with full luggage AND a
    Gixxer Thou on board )
