    Ok, so I got to thinking, "How can I have just *one* pannier to give
    away[1]...?" Particularly in the light of Oxford flogging me a replacement
    pannier[2] for the one I burned through with the exhaust...

    .... and the fact that I sold the panniers as a pair last year. So how can I
    have one left...?

    <thinks>
    ....
    <looks in cupboard>
    ....
    <realises this *is* the pannier I burned through with the exhaust>
    ....
    <sob>

    So, to recap... anybody wanting a black Oxford sports pannier, that looks
    lovely, but you can't expand because I melted the fucking zip, let me know
    and it's yours.

    And I ask again :) Can it be used on it's own, or is that a really dumb
    idea.

    many moons ago on the R6..

    Ummm... well you would have to find some way of anchoring it in place... The
    panniers as a pair had two straps that went over the seat. On one face were
    velcro hooks, and the other velcro loops. They meet up with the opposite on
    the other strap to hold them together. I suppose it depends on if you had a
    strut or something under the seat to anchor it to.

    No. It'll get lonely and waste away pining for a mate.

    Might be the first time *ever* whoshed anyone. Unless, of course, I
    have been uber-whooshed.
