Ah! An expert! And a local expert at that. Good, good. I'll put you down
for shovel duty then. You're very kind.

it's not actually particularly painful (in fact, I lied to the doc and
drove myself home), but the not lifting things was the advice offered.

Actually, the biggest problem is that I got carried away with the
shaving bit, and did the lot, and now it's prickly as **** as it grows
    back.

Heh, me too, what a fucking nightmare.

The old ballsac stubble / underwear interface was very uncomfortable.

I had no stitches though, only 2 bloody band aids.

Whilst the doc was cheerfully doing his bit, there was a bloody decorator
painting the windowframe (from the outside), whistling a bloody jaunty
    painters tune.

The whole thing was surreal. The doc was a weirdy beardy bloke with sandals
    on.

When I got home I was directed to a lounger in the garden and instructed to
rest by SWMBO. My daughter, who was aged about 3 at the time was so pleased
to see me she jumped straight onto my lap. By christ that hurt.

I must admit that I found his bedside manner, erm, a little odd.

When I arrived in the waiting room it was half full of blokes, all reading
car magazines and not acknowledging each other.

Then this bloke turns up, complete with wife and a litter of offspring,
looks at the rest of us and says words to the effect of "for fucks sake
chaps, it not like we don't all know why we're here, is it?"

Then the robe they gave me was too small, and having been told to put it on
with the opening at the front I then had to walk down the corridor with a 6"
gap right down my front, whilst clasping my tackle for the sake of modesty.

And this was not NHS either, ISTR it cost me about £120.00

It was a very, very weird day.
