surely shome mishtake...or didn't you have to sign anything agreeing
    to the T&Cs...

  4. OK it's in the interpretation.
A bit like the insurance certificate and the small print in the policy.

  5. So frequently that Brown was greeted as:
    "Good day Mr Wilson!"
It is general that you sign (or swear) to declare that you are not a
member of any other party and will abide by the T&C etc.
That is your 'declaration' of allegiance.

Well, I don't equate declaring that "I'm not a member of any other
political party" as the same as "swearing allegiance".

St Pancras *and* Stratford on phase 2 of CTRL. Waterloo will still be
served - they have not decided on the balance of trains between the two
termini. Personally I can't wait to not have to travel to Waterloo.

I *think* that wrong. IANAAE, but I remember reading that one of the
limiting factors on Concordes speed an any given day is skin temperature
    caused by friction heating.

Low altitude = denser air = more heating.

  16. Don't forget that Mach 1 is different speeds at different altitudes:

(if this is a ginge, then sorry, but I haven't kept up with
    this thread)

[me postulating that Concorde go supersonic at sea level]
Sure and I accept the latter statement, however, ISTR Concorde's limits
with respect to the suitability of its manufacturing materials (largely
aircraft-grade aluminium, steel and a bit of titanium) were centered
    around its Mach 2 performance.
