    You'd be fucking lucky.

We've been looking for one, too.

Decided on a Beny V-Fit air resistance rower instead - they come in at
    about £180 delivered.

It's never going to be anywhere near as good as a Concept II, but it's
less than half the price of a ropey used Concept.

Delta Airmaster, iirc. Same machine, I got one in vgc for 65 quid on
eBay last year. Plus 3 quid in petrol for me to collect it.

Hmm. I'm quite used to the Concept 2. How do these compare?

It's got a slidey seat thing, and a thing to hold, a fan on the front,
and a thing that counts strokes, etc. I suspect a Concept 2 it ain't,
but unless you're prepared to fork out serious wedge, you won't get one
of those. It seems OK to me.

I watched eBay carefully and picked this up cheap, they were generally
going for 10-20 quid more than that at the time (bloke I bought it from
offered to buy it back off me at the going rate if I decided I didn't
want it - he was amazed it'd gone so cheaply) so if you get one and you
don't like it, there's a fair chance you can punt it back out and only
be a couple of quid down on the deal, if at all.

Dare I ask how long you've had it and how much it's been used this week for
    example ;-)

The mother of all cargo nets, industrial baling twine, and Dodger's mrs
    to hold it steady.

Heh. About 10 months, and not at all. I've taken to keeping it in the
living room where it's all but unavoidable. And yet still I avoid it.

Best 65 quid I ever spent.

  9. Travellers to the Far East will have much scarier and/or impressive tales
but ... on Crete I once passed a couple wobbling along on a moped. It was
night-time, the road was bad and the headlight was ~0.1 candlepower. The
pillion was clutching a pane of glass which was about a metre square. It
made a very effective windbreak for her but, in the event of a crash ...
