    I have a core duo 6700/2.7Ghz, 8800GTS/320 and 4GB of DDR2/800 ram.
Nothing's overclocked, can't be bothered farking around with that. It
plays at 30+ FPS on all medium but if I put it on high I get about
22FPS, this is at 1280x1024 (17" LCD). On very high it's more or less
unplayable but you'd be lost watching the light dapple thru the trees :)
At the moment I believe I am close to finishing it, but when I do I am
reasonably sure I'll start again on Hard.. :)

Even so, on medium graphics it's still extremely awesome visually. I've
not seen anything that comes close. UT3 is nice don't get me wrong but
it's no comparison. Nopt sure how it stacks up against the most recent
Half Life / Orange Box combo. Gameplay personally is damned fine too.
There are a few little niggles about it, but to be fair they're small
shit, like you still cast a shadow when cloaked, and barrels don't
    splash in the water.

I'm gonna get my hands on Bioshock once I've done Crysis, I keep hearing
good things about it. I'm 36 and have been gaming since I was about 9 ..
this is the first game that's made me swear in amazement every 5 or so
minutes. I thoroughly disagree with the review on IGN put it that way,
    which is only lukewarm.

I find Aquamark, though old, something that almost every PC will run so
you can get a 'level' comparison. On that, this PC gets about 135K.
Think my most recent version of 3d mark is 2004..

Bloody hell, you people are pathetic. Grow up and leave the games to the
kiddies. Jeez, you have your toys ie motorbikes yet you want to sit around
    playing games on computers.

btw: just removed Vista and back to XP but havent but have not installed
    Bioshock as yet :)

If you find as I did a cheap quad xeon (3.2) with a bit of ram ,
adding a decent video card allows playing on a budget
wait until Febuary as the I hear there are new toys being released

    Definitely a bargain.
Finishing a game's no reason to sell it though .. Currently playing on
hard. Knowing what comes up makes it a little easier but you still get
lost looking at the eye candy :)
