  2. Nowt to do with bikes...but someone might know.

I have a bunch of soft toys (teddy bears and stuff) looking for good,
new homes. All are housetrained and well looked after, most are CE
marked etc etc. Trouble is the local hospitals don't want them because
they are difficult to clean and so are an infection risk.

I would really like them to go directly to a good, worthy home, as
opposed to sitting in a charity shop for months on end.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers.

Try your local children's home or hospice.
They normally love those sort of things.

Destroy them in ever increasingly strange ways and post the results onto
    a web site.

well, brining it back on topic, isn't there a yearly Easter Teddy Bear
Run where a bunch of soft bikers run old toys to hospices and that?

My missus collects such cuddly items (me friggin' house is full of the
    little sods!).

If you don't get a better offer from a more deserving cause, I'm sure she'd
love to give them a loving home!

More than happy to pay any costs incurred (natch)

    Cheers

I'd have thought UKRM was the ideal place to come for advice on
    throwing teddy bears out.

Not allowed any more - All cuddlies or any other toys must be brand new in
    wrappers.

    Infections, don'tchaknow

My local women's shelter get all our stuff like that. Poor women turn
up (normally with kids) and if the kid takes a shine to a toy, they
    keep it.

Ask at your local council office - it's usually not advertised as
such, and kept low key, and I'm not allowed to actually take them
there, they take them at the council, and pass them on. Security for
the women & kids and all that.

    cheers

  14. I think it's terrible that someone can even treat a Teddy like that.

How can anyone not find Tug-of-bear funny? And the wheelie is just the
    icing on the cake.

  18. Agreed.

My kids have been giggling at it, too. Now, if they did the same thing
    to Barbie dolls....
