Possibly, although that can be overcome by way of new yokes.

It's more the headstock diameter that concerns me.

(I was gonna phone you today as I was in Brentford, but time ran away with
me so I didn't. You up for some bimbleage at some stage?)

TBH, my experience stretches as far as owing the two bikes (the TS and
DT). I know DT 50 and 125 parts were interchangeable; throttle cable,
levers etc but swapping bits from different makes I don't know.
I'm always up for a bit of bimbelage. Best hurry though, my money's
almost run out and I've not found a job yet :(

You *NEED* to get trained on a lorry crane. Then I could recommend you for a
job with a builders merchants to get some experience to move up to larger
lorries etc. There are a few companies around your way needing drivers.

Well give me their details then. They don't all need cranes surely? BTW,
getting trained costs money and if you'd read my post in reply to Dan,
you'd have seen I ain't exactly flush. In fact, if they won't do it for
free then I'm not going to be able to do it.

What for? Is that a stunting variation on the knee-down?

Is this going to lead to a post about how you picked up a hitchhiker
and caught a dose from her?

Look, she was wearing beads and a see through blue summery dress that

You can get a crane licence for about 100 quid... that's all mine cost when
I started with The Timber Centre. They and their associated companies
(Builder Center etc) or possibly Travis Perkins might be worth a try

Thanks! I was thinking of an "on the job" training thing. I can cope
with a few quid taken out of my wages each week to pay for it but 100
quid is a hundred quid now. Since I gave up despatching I've spent
enough money to have bought and paid for a new gixxer thou and insurance
    for a year :(

P.S. When you pass your class C, do you need to take another theory test
for C+E? I'll keep hold of your book for a while longer if you do if
    that's alright.

Sign-on with every agency in town. They'll tell you that you need two
years' experience [0] but I'm willing to bet that they'll give you a
call when they've got no-one else willing to work.

I mean, I don't know that for sure, because I already had a job when I
got my HGV, and I didn't sign on to an agency for about 18 months
after that, but the experience I had in the meantime (solely
continental operations) meant that I was obviously ok.

    1. This isn't uk.rec.motorcycles.ebay-links

    2. If you're going to ask a technical question, why not just write:

"FOAK, anyone any idea whether DTR DT 125 forks wheel brake disc
caliper and pads will fit a Suzuki TS50."

That way, when someone has the same dilemma in future, they'll be able
to search google and find the answer(s).
