    Hi,

I am after a power supply for a Compaq TFT5010 monitor if anyone can help.
The connector is a weird proprietary ( I think) thing about the size of a
PS2 connector but with 4 pins inside.

    Help?

That's a bloody surprise. Compaq were always shite for that sort of
    game.
    Sorry, I can't.

Aye crap aren't they. If I had a quid for every place I'd worked that binned
Compaq and started buying from other suppliers I'd have £3 :)
Which is fair cracking on given that I've only had four proper jobs.
    Ah well, that's a result init :)

Gavsta pushed the bounds of literature with:
    Try Ebay.

I've found new replacement parts for stuff on Ebat recently I couldn't
    find anywhere else.

  8. They miscalculated with those black Evo things, though. They were ratshit
from Day One. PSUs, HDs, the lot. We had gangs of contractors in, swapping
    out components in bulk.

I have only gone through one HD and two batteries [1] on my work Evo.
And something that was making the mouse pointer crawl unprompted
    across the screen.

[1] The second one was when I dropped the bag I was carrying the
laptop in and shattered the batteries plastic casing.
