Since I donated my car to science, just before the deluge season, I have
commuted almost exclusively from SF to San Bruno VIA Skyline Blvd.

Much nicer mentally than the 280 competition out of SF. I get my
earplugged radio going and listen to NPR or KNBR and just puttputt, and
it only takes me an extra 5-10 minutes to get there.
The drivers are not much more intelligent then the raving morons out on
280, but they are much meeker, and so are inheriting my exhaust gas.

My gas mileage on the R1100RS has given me the average of 43 mpg, and so
it costs about 12-15 dollars a week in fuel. Not too bad, but....

I am anticipating that I might be able to test the claim that my newest
signature entry will get close to 75 mpg. Although I can't really fathom
that at the moment, I will be able to report the truth sometime later in
    the week.
It would be nice to spend 6 bucks a week on my commute though! Almost
make my recent pay raise count for something...

13 miles each way, takes about 20 minutes depending on whether I hit the
    lights red or green.
