    Hi All,

I'm hoping someone might be able to give me some advise. With the good
weather on its way soon (hopefully), I'm considering commuting in and out
of central Manchester on a motorbike:

I've seen many motorcycle parking bays in the city centre: Has anyone used
these? What is the security like? Would it be better to use the parking on
    the nearby Ex-UMIST campus?

What's the best (safest) route from South Manchester (Didsbury area).
Princess Parkway, Kingsway or some combination of single-lane 30mph
roads.. All routes are heavely conjested with traffic.

    Advise greatly appriciated.

Proof reading your Usenet post is said to be A Good Thing. Although it
doesn't seem to make any difference when I do do it but others swear by
    it they do.

Yes, you literally just ride in there and stop.

By "literally", I mean that you have to write about it afterwards.

If you really have to ride in, then I would personally go for Palatine
road. Use it every morning and evening to get from and to Cheadle area.
It does get a bit slow on entering either side of Rusholme thanks to the
new road layouts, but apart from that it is generally better that either
    Kingsway or Princess Parkway.

Lived in or around the area [1] for the last 34 years (with a 4 year
break when I lived in Ordsall [2]).

[2] Why TF I moved there I still don't know.
