IIRC Andy passed his bike test in 1979 or thereabouts, and has had a
    bike ever since. Same here.

Not really, there is a penalty to pay because the gearchange is manual
so in a sense it is a step down but you would have known this of course
as I suspect you have more experience of automatic gearboxes on PTWs
    than I.

You thick ****. You haven't a clue when I took my test, what I ride
(though you could find out) or how I choose to ride (again, you could
find out). Save your comments for when you know what the **** you're
    on about.

Like I'd want to. I'd be happy seeing someone post your obituary after
a 16 year old parked his moped up your sorry arise but that's about as
    far as it goes.

sounds like theres a few on here who have teenage kids and have this twatish
attitude that they can do no wrong, keep bigging them up, they are the
future ignorant, selfish, cuntish wankers, just like there dads!

Having done both[1] I'd certainly agree that a newly passed DAS-er has
a damn site more of a clue than those who passed their test when I
were 'lad. But of that group, those of us that have been riding ever
since, and survived, tend to have a lot more of a clue, purely based
on experience. Of course, we wouldn't look down on newbies who've had
to be 'taught' to ride, oh no, not at all :)

  18. I used to always wheelie from the traffic lights on my fizzy. Well,
until the chain started wizzing around the back sprocket and I couldn't
    afford new.

I also used to ride it home from the pub. That cost me a couple of
crashes that I don't really remember well.
