Ah, I see, when you wrote "If you do 40 in a 60 will fail just about any
driving test" you didn't mean you "will fail just about any driving
test" Silly me. But still, on the bright side, what was to be
demonstrated, that you won't fail just about any driving test for doing
40 in a 60, has been. So QED.

And on a great many other 60 mph roads is obstructively slow.

Well, you could always overtake. Ah but you can't because of the number
and speed of cars coming the other way means you rarely get the
opportunity. Ah well. Perhaps if you could get them to slow down too
you would have more of a chance. ;-)

As a child I had the misfortune of having a caravan club site on my
    family's farm.

Further, the amount of mechanical incompetence left me utterly shocked
at the age of 14; there were people incapable of changing batteries,
driving cars with flat tyres (cars dragging caravans) and driving cars
low on coolant (and being surprised when the car siezed). I don't think
that everyone who tows a caravan is in a position to 'satisfy' themself
    that their outfit is safe.

The Dutch have a really bad reputation in Switzerland buying water as
the only local supply, 'cos they supposedly bring everything else with
    them.

Half the fun of going to furreign lands is to sample the food there.

I meant *exactly* what I wrote. You seem to have decided that what I
meant to write was 'Doing 40 in a 60 limit will mean you automatically
fail'. Why you think this is a little beyond me, but there we are. I see
You've not attempted to answer any of my other points
Yes you will fail *just about any* driving test for doing 40 in a 60. And
you still don't understand what QED means.

Apparently that's a 'huge' assumption. Not quite sure what that means,
but they seem to be making less and less sense as they go along.

Used to be a time when the top organ donors were teenage motorcyclists.
They have now been surpassed by 40 something motorcyclists.
