It is on a pushbike, and that's the point isn't it, "reasonable
progress" is a relative term.

If one man's reasonable progress is lower than anothers, that first
'slow' man should have no cause to argue with the second 'faster' man.

I'm a fan of international footy, it comes up for a month every other
year, why then are there more "I hate hearing about footy" posts than
footy posts on every forum I frequent?

I hate soap operas & groundless intellectual snobbery ("hate footy /
flags / satellite dishes / sports / tv ...") but I dont feel the need to
point it out every time I encounter them. Life's too short, do what you
enjoy while the roads are vacated in 2 hours slots.

When travelling at a speed one considers reasonable and someone else
wants to travel faster it's surely only good manners to get out of the
way of someone wanting to travel faster?

Indeed, and another drivers motivations should not form part of anyone's

40mph is very fast for a great many road vehicles, including areas
where 60mph is the legal limit.

 

If you are continually pulling over then you certainly are not making
reasonable progress.
