He's using the well known technique of 'Proof by Intimidation'.

    T'isn't working.

Your assumptions are quite a bit larger than 'assuming it's safe to do 60 on
    a 60mph road'

If you look up you will see that I was challenged to name a 60mph
limit road where driving at 60 could be reckless. I chose to name an
A road to contradict your assertion that such roads had neither names
    or numbers.

Actually it's if it exceeds 1000kg - the towing weight of the car.

So if he tows *that* caravan with *that* car he needs to keep it at least
200kg lighter than it's rated max weight.

Other sheds, other cars obviously it's different.

    Flippin' Eck!!!!

Will all the pro footy n00bs please realise that this and every reply
(some of which are now not even footy related) are still being cross
posted to cycling, caravanning, motorcycling and driving newsgroups.

My inbox is being spammed with something about which I couldn't give a hoot!

Not a single person even had the decency to put OT in the subject!
Probably not a single person even bothered to read their respective NG
    charter!

Please take any footy discussions, for or against, to uk.sport.football
or somewhere ON topic. And would the pro-footy people please grow up and
realise that some people don't like football, and that there are other
world championships other than football, and that there are other
sports, and please don't assume that I support a football team.

Would everyone else that's started replying to this thread with ON topic
discussions for one of the 4 NGs please note that they are (still)
crossposting to 4 rather diverse NGs!

    Thankyou!

Thanks :) I just happened to be in the right place at the right time - as is
for most shots up here due to the weather.

You described the flight from an airport to a country and not airport to
airport. Sorry to be pedantic but ya gotta be correct :)

Have a look at the incidents that led to the introduction of speed
    limits on the motorways.

Even that I challenge. I'd be surprised if there are more than a few
dozen A or B roads where 40mph is a safe speed for all sections where
    60mph is the limit.

He wont understand that. According to him the roads are built purely for
speed knobs with egos as large as their exhausts are as loud.
