Well tomorrow I will be collecting my feee Fireblade from Bridge Motorcycles
in Exeter and then riding it back up the M5 to Oxford, well I will if the
    weather
is better, if it looks like pissing down and windy they can deliver it.

I shall play for a couple of months then sell.

It looks alright, though there's too much of a gap between the rear
wheel and the seat unit. Compared to the monstrosity that is the 10R
these days, it's a vision of beauty. But, ultimately, it's a Honda and
I've never been one to let rational thought get in the way of blind
    prejudice.

I don't think you will you know - not unless there's some mightily
impressive road works going on tonight.

Works for me, perhaps living as I do in West Oxford might make
    sense?

Nope, no sense at all! M4 - Swindon - A420 would make sense if you
wanted the direct route, & Frome - Trowbridge would make sense if you
wanted twisties rather than motorway. But M5 to J11a? That's just weird.

Looking at google maps, this route seems to be almost identical in terms of
time and distance to the traditional M5 - M4 - A420 version, and enables the
traveller to eschew the joys of Swindon. Personally, I'd go A303 - A338,
rather than grind along 150-odd miles of motorway at running-in speeds.
Mixed riding on A roads has got to be better for the new engine, and would
    be a lot less boring.

Nope, distance might be smaller, from a time wise point of view
leaving Witney along the A40 towards Chelteneham and joining the
    M5 there is Way quicker.

Been doing this route to Devon for years, with bruv going from East
Oxford down the 420 and M4, even he now is going down the A34 to
the M4 as the 420 Swindon way is horrid and slow.
