Managed to get to the letchworth branch today, all appeared normal AFAICT
Managed to get a full face ACU approved Caberg V2 for £75 which seemed
reasonable to me, I is happy.
Nah, quote to repair? £90 ish quid!

  8. Ah!

Still not the brightest move. And I *know* my financial approach is
quaint, but this is the classic way of getting stuffed on a deal. Always
    use a credit card.

Coincidentally, Ive just got a refund on mine after some interbooze firm
didn't come up with the goods.

    The Older Gentleman says...
My ex booked a holiday for her and the kids online with her debit card,
the firm went tits up - she got a full refund all the same. I hear that
the govt has put things in place to protect debit card users against
    this sort of thing.

I'll be seeing her soon, I'll ask what she did to get her refund.

  10. Do that - I'd be interested. Of course, there are all sorts of
safeguards and bond schemes to protect people who buy holidays. Could
    have been one of those?

Nothing beats the Consumer Credit Act, though, IMHO.

I agree but it doesn't really apply to debit card, cheque or cash
    transactions.

Went and had a look. Oh bugger. Can't think of any remedy. Not that's
    legal, anyway.

Not yet but they are working on it.

The Letchworth and Harrow branches are still open.

There's 25% off all clothing now as well.
