    = Fun.

    A great day's riding today. I love my GSX R1000. It's a real bike.

I stripped the front end off mine tonight. Can't see any damage, I think the
replacement yokes will straighten it out.

I will have the wheels coated black, I'm just struggling with the general
hassle of having the frame right off. I'd quite like it, the subframe and
the swinging arm all done on satin black expoy powdercoat.

Then again I could just make it completely original, flog it, buy a K3 and
put the pattern bodywork on that. Can't bloody decide.

I know, I know you sod. Already succumbed to the AP brake conversion didn't
    I.
Thing is because the bike was so cheap and already tatty I had a hoot on it
and didn't GAF. The more I spend on it the less I'll want to risk it. On
balance, as it stands now, it will be like new with to die for brakes and a
Harris undertray for a total outlay of £3000 plus whatever the future
    insurance loading is.

    My Enfield's got them.

Oh no wait, they're "to die *from* brakes". My mistake.

Ooh no, it's bad for your arteries.

Here's the thing. I'm busy. I *may* be able to do something, I may not.
What I need is drawings to work from. Send me those and I'll see what
    can be done.

No sort of hurry anyway and it'll take me a while to measure them up if I
*ever* get off my fat arse.
You could make them in Titanium ;o)

ZXR has the same 4 pot Tokico brakes as my ZZR. 6 pot Tokicos, as fitted
to ZX9R and a few other bikes, won't fit on the standard mounting
points. I know cos I've tried.

That's a very handy page. As I mentioned before, the caliper mounts on a
ZXR750 are the same as the ZZR as they use identical calipers. I've just
had a look through EBC's book, and the discs used on the ZX7R are
identical to my ZZR, so theoretically this conversion should be possible
    on a ZZR1100.

It would be nice to have brakes that matched the performance.

Well look everyone I have a pair of minter gixxer thou six pots with not
many miles which will be going on eBay soon otherwise. Currently they
contain some almost new EBC HH's.
I also have a set of standard disks/carriers with about 1200 miles on them
    to be sold.
