Sung Kang talks about the movie and being an Asian actor in an
    exclusive "Collision" interview.

(Los Angeles, CA) - June 15, 2006 - Actor Sung Kang plays Han, a
bad guy gone good, in the upcoming action sequel The Fast and the
Furious: Tokyo Drift, the latest installment of the successful racecar
franchise from Universal Pictures. Sung co-stars in FF3, as the movie
is commonly known as, along with Lucas Black (Jarhead, Friday Night
Lights) and Bow Wow (Roll Bounce, Like Mike) under the direction of
Justin Lin (Annapolis, Better Luck Tomorrow). The actor sat down for
an exclusive interview for JumpBoxTV's Video-On-Demand entertainment
news show Collision where he praised the executives at Universal
Pictures for being "aggressive thinkers". Universal is not just
gambling on an Asian theme, which "helps change people's
perceptions of Asian American males" says Sung but they are
highlighting the growing sport of Drifting, a wild and out of control
form of auto racing that has just recently garnered mainstream
attention here in the States. It's said of Drifting "if you aint
out of control you're not in control". Sung promises the movie to
be a wild ride and backs the sport of drifting by adding "The first
two (movies) that built the franchise did a wonderful job of
really...explaining the whole car culture...but drifting cars have
taken off to this real precise sport...there's a technique to it, is
there a real technique to just going fast...FF3 has it all."

On some issues Sung directly relates to his character Han "there's
a sense of fun with Han, naturally I enjoy that type of energy...it was
a blessing to go to work everyday and being that guy".

Born in Gainesville Georgia, Sung knew at an early age that he wanted
to make an impact on people emotionally. This not only explains his
growing acting resume which already boasts roles on Without A Trace,
Monk, Spin City but it better explains the opening of his none
traditional southern California restaurant, Saketini (Sake and
Martini), where they blend all forms of Asian cuisines and even none
Asian cuisines be it Armenian or Italian.

Sung Kang doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon, he recently
wrapped on the Philip Atwell feature action film Rogue by Lions Gate
Films starring Jet Li and Jason Statham.

    Drift opens June 16.
