Seems like the BBC decided not to bother this weekend. You may wish
to double check your VCR, not forgetting any recordings you have
    scheduled.

I gave mine a manual seeing to this morning, and it put itself forward
again as soon as my back was turned. All seems OK now though.

VCR? Takes care of itself, as does the HDR.

The cooker and microwave clocks, otoh, may remain in a different time
    zone until Spring.

My VCR is still struggling to do it automatically. It gets one more
chance in a few minutes time on the hour then its getting a manual
    seeing to.

The BBC eventually got its act together this pm, and the HDD/DVDR and
    the PVR are now happy.

I think the point was VCRs usually set themselves by picking up on a
time signal broadcast by the likes of the BBC. Mine normally sets
    itself but didn't today.

Yes, it all went a bit wrong for me this year. Normally the video sets
itself but I think the Beeb were up the creek (it uses their signal)
as neither it nor my digibox changed even though both were set to pick
it up. BBC2 teletext time was wrong until about 4pm.

I gave up and set it manually - didn't want to miss recording
    Stargate.

    Most of Europe does AFAIK

    Equatorial Guinea prolly don't bother

We used to be 2 weeks out of sync with europe but someone seems to have
woken up and sorted that out

I think that mine did once but it hasn't managed this feat this time.

The pooters, TV and VCR fixed themselves. The oven, microwave, wall
clock, ships clock. heater control and various watches have to be set.
My mobile uses network time but Bammy's has to be set manually. Bugger,
I still have to do the bike and Tigger.

    You *are* joking, surely?

Heating? It's still the middle of summer, ffs.

I've put mine on, but with the thermostat set to 17c just to take the
chill off on those occasional mornings when I have to get up at 6:15.

Is not. I had to get out the heavy gloves and liners for my kit.

  17. As SD said - why? I get up at 05.30 every day and there is no need for
heating to be on at all. It was so warm this morning at 8am I thought
it was May not the end of October.

But you live in Caliwarmia, don't you?
It's certainly not up to putting a liner in, or wearing a jumper under
your jacket type weather here, that's for sure.

Hint: Derby is pretty much at the end of the pennines, not the last stop
    on the DLR.

Looking at the 5 day forecast right now Tuesaday night is going to be
6C, Friday shows 3C. That means it'll be a tad nippy when I get out of
the shower in the morning if I don't put the heating on.

It was 7C this morning and I'm just not used to that. Summer is gone.
