night so why not clean up the street so that the spectators and participants

I for one have been to a couple of Mardi Gras Parades and enjoyed them, no
fights, lots of booze and a fun parade IMHO.

In its hey day it had around 3/4 of a million lining the streets enjoying
it, including lots of Mums Dads and their kids. Not too shabby for a city of
Sydney's size.

Sorry never been to Moomba, so not sure how big that gets.

Having lived in Sydney for many years (now in FNQ) I have seen the dismal
efforts that have gone on over the years previously, anyone remember the
Waratah Festival, what a flop, it seems that the only decent parade that
Sydney has had over the last 30 years has been the Mardi Gras Parade.

No matter who puts it on it is a lively fun filled parade.

 

What on earth has this topic got to do with ANY of the newsgroups it
