<fx: places cap in hand> The ol' faithful Fazer6 is starting to make disturbing clattering noises from deep within the engine in a "terminal soon" type of way. It's most noticeable when cold and keeps time with the rpms especially on a closed or neutral throttle. I assume this is "not a good thing" [tm] I'm thinking (or rather completely guessing) cam chain given the milage (50k) and the lack of any major servicing save the valve check at around 28k. Looking in the HBoL all I see are scary pictures of engine internals in a spotless workshop with all the appropriate tools to hand. This does not describe the situation in my garage. With my current cash flow, taking it do a dealer (aka Cane stylee) to fix isn't an option so I'm going to have to spanner it myself. Ideas, suggestions, and offers of assistance all greatfully received.
