Are you one of those purists that doesn't consider anything
written after 1810 to be music?

So here's a fucking related question.

    iTunes, right.

For reasons too dull to go into, I had to move the directory with all
my MP3s in it. Now iTunes is reporting two of fucking everything, and
bitching that it can't find copy #1.

How can I get it to chill the **** out and stop annoying me?

    Or should I kill myself?

Have you tried to consolidate the library (under Advanced)?

    make a backup then.

Under prefs, advanced, see where the library is located. Make sure this
is the place you want the tunes to be located. Check keep organized and
save. Then Consolidate the library. This should take care of the problem.

If not, if you have the latest version you can ask it to show duplicate
    songs and trash the dupes.

Sorry Ben, I should have added a smiley, as I was joking but you don't
know me for shit, so wouldn't necessarily have known.

"Make it idiot-proof, and someone will breed a better idiot."

    Alternatively:

"Build a system that even a fool can use and only a fool will want to
    use it."

    Which would you prefer?
