Is it a requirement of this group that bikes belonging to posters are
unrestored? I thought it might be, as I havnt seen much to suggest any
sort of restoration work ever goes on!

  3. Heh: I liked: "It took two of us bouncing on the thing to pre-load the
torsion bars - would have been easier to put the engine back in for the
    extra weight."

I had visions of you or your mate going *boing* over the garden fence.

Not exactly tiger stripes, though, are they? Still, a decent working
    trike.

    Wotcha.
It's more a case of the tyres digging in - seeing as it uses a swing axle,
not only do the axle tubes have to move down, the wheels have to move
further apart. You get the same thing if you merely jack the thing up -
until you roll forwards the wheels will sit at very strange angles.
The guy who did the bouncing, for want of a better word, weighs well over
thirty stone. Should he have been catapulted over the fence the effect
would have been measured using the Richter scale ( M5 = Felt widely, slight
    damage near epicentre ).
They are the nearest to tiger stripes that I'm capable of doing. We had a
competition in the club once to see who was the worse artist. I came last
but one, and the guy who came last is now in Australia, so that make me
officially crap when it comes to artwork type stuff. I suppose I could have
farmed the work out, but I can't really think of anywhere around here that
would do such stuff, besides, the bodywork was too large to cart about.
There again, as you say, a working trike, and working is what it does best.

Andys own "education" obviously didnt include anything that stimulated
any latent prcatical abilities, which may have resulted in him being
able to do anything other than signing cheques, in regard to the work
needed on the expenive stable of crappy old bikes he claims to
    own.....................lol

I really cant grasp why all you cunts keep wittering on about
"dogging"...................but I guess perhaps you are more familiar
with these sort of topics, than something like building a wheel
    say....................lol
