Clanking Triumph Daytona 1200

    Got a 1999 Triumph Daytona 1200 SE, just had one of 2 ignition coils
    replaced and the slave cyclinder on the clutch rebuilt after it broke

    Recently when I start the bike, I press the starter button and there is
    a nasty clanking noise, that seems to be coming from the crank case,
    bike eventually fires and runs perfectly, but it sounds horredendous
    till it starts.

    If you put your hand on the casing, you can actually feel the knocking

    Anyone got an idea
