"I will be happy to let you take a good look at them both of them. No Haggling, No test flights will be entertained and No you can not fly her home, collection by flatbed or trailer only " That's worrying. Reminds me of tentatively riding "just bought" bikes home.
Beav was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever: You *did* notice that he wants 25 grand for it, didn't you?
Beav wrote: Bloke actually wants £25 grand for it, £500 is only the downpayment. As Nigel said, blatant fee avoidance. -- Dan L (Oldbloke) My bike 1996 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr M'boy's bike 2003 Honda NSR125R Spare Bike 1990 Suzuki TS50X BOTAFOT #140, DIAABTCOD #26, BOMB#18 (slow)
You really don't want a Rotorway. An kit-built helicopter assembled by god knows who with unknown engineering qualifications. OK for fixed wing planes but not fiendishly complicated devices like a helicopter. Besides, Rotorway don't have the best safety reputation in the world. Quite a few people have been killed in them. Earlier this year the Rotorway designer was killed in one of his own helicopters. What you really want is an autogyro. That's a rotary aircraft which is cheap to build and more like biking than any other flying craft. Mikey
Sort of. I have a PPL fixed wing licence. I have recently done a 1.5 hour training flight in an 2 seat gyro. It was amazing. A biking mate also did one. He is about to start his training and is in the process of having a gyro built for him. I reckon I'm going to do the same thing once I get the money (Some bloody chance!) All bikers would (IMHO) given the chance to experience it, really enjoy flying. There is so much similarity between the freedom (to behave like a twat) that you have on a bike and what you can do when you fly (almost anything except an Airbus with 250 passengers) Mikey
Many microlights do (as the majority don't have carb heat). Interesting moments of the "oh ****, I hope I can stretch this glide with no power" after throttling-back on final approach aren't uncommon!
