Everything seems to have gone quiet on the DFV front. So, in the absence of
anyone else doing it for me, I'm going to make myself a reservation for the
    Friday night here:

    http://www.mouton-blanc.com/

....which has been very pleasant, and convenient for late-night bars, on
    previous occasions.

Anybody else want me to book them in?

  3. I was going to book myself in that very place, and Statto as well, but
haven't got a tuit yet, so yeah, two more rooms, if you'd be so kind.

    ETA around 7pm. Morini permitting.

If you can drag yourself away from the local brew, I can highly
recommend the new Leffe 9°. Lovely it is.

Not for me: I'll prolly see you Satdy lunchtime. Will you all be
camping in approx. the same place?

Heh. My hand-span is just about exactly 9". A couple of years ago, two of
the girls in work were having a giggle about how a man's, you know, thingy,
was supposedly the same as his hand-span. I stretched out my hand, looked
at it and said "Yeah, that would be about right." Much more giggling.

I was, of course, being far too modest...

Sir, you have the hands of a lady.

I'm not too happy about "just about exactly", either.

Weekend of the 15th/16th July. Peeps usually go over on the Friday, stay in
hotel, then camp Saturday night and (some of us) Sunday night at the
circuit, and wobble home on the Monday, having taken serious harm from the
    local brew.

    That's my plan, anyway.

    For a flavour:

Really, I had two pints the other night and had problems walking. This
    stuff would put me down.

  13. Woo. Mind you, I daresay they regard Leffe as an interloper at Chimay.
Chimay is for, well, Chimay. Rouge or Bleu.

They do have some namby-pamby 5% ABV beer for the ladies, IIRC.

  18. I had! Are you Chimay-ing as well? Better ask Platy to book you a room,
    then.

Yes, you are really losing your memory with age :). We are doing Chimay as
1st stop on trip to Italy then "big bridge in France". Going on XJR and
    Duke.
