The weekend of 16-18 July sees the town of Chimay host a weekend of
classic bike racing, with everything from pre-war Triumphs and Nortons
to 1970s Yamaha TZs. The plan that's forming is:

    Friday
Leave Dover on an early afternoon ferry
Overnight in an hotel roughly mid way between Calais and Chimay; eat,
    drink and be merry.

    Saturday
    Finish traveling to Chimay.
Pitch tent, watch racing, drink beer.
In the evening either wander into Chimay town and eat at a restaurant,
or buy dead animal and some token salad type stuff and have a BBQ.
Then drink more beer and collapse in a snoring heap.

    Sunday
    Pack up.
    Watch racing until lunchtime-ish.
    Return to Calais, ferry, home.

    Rough Costs
    Ferry £60 or so
Saturday night Hotel: 80-ish Euros - could be more, could be less
Entrance to circuit: Budget 10 Euros, which includes overnight camping

Plus obvious things like petrol, beer, Saturday night food.

  2. That place in St-Quentin was nice. Only about 50-ish miles from Chimay.
    Good, good.
