  1. No it isn't, and you know it, Mr "I mustn't use an ATM or it'll steal
    my soul".[/QUOTE]

Well, OK, so you're the exception that proves the rule.

But there's another thing about GPS users - they're the slowest riders
on the planet, because they're always trying to decode the (erroneous)
signals from their box of tricks.

Heh. It did that in Frankfurt, too. We ended up round the back of the
    garages...
It's just a tool. How you use it is up to you.

I have just discovered my sister (aged 28) has never in her life used a
cash machine. "I always get cashback or go to the bank at lunch time...
I'm not messing about with those things." she said.

I don't know if I feel sad, or ashamed.

Are you and I the only ones here with a nautral sense of direction. My
jobs have taken me all over the country, and while I carry maps, I very
rarely find a need to use them.

I'm fine with direction too, except when the french play tricks with
    place names.

To be fair, it was only for a mile and a half, and he spotted it
    without prompting.

Was it as much as that? I knew something was not quite right, but I
waited for somewhere safe to u-turn.

1.56 miles from the roundabout to where we turned round, so you might
have realised earlier, and just looked for somewhere safe to turn.

    Possibly.

btw, did you get caught out by that big dip in the road as we turned
off the N41 to the D916 north of St Pol sur Ternoise? Left turn, at a
    fork in the road.

I was sure we'd end up in a field.

Loz, even by your standards that's just wrong.

I think this is perhaps one of the only posts I've ever read on UKRM
that I'm actually repulsed by. Well done, you ****.
