  2. There's a nice selection of car parks you failed to mention. Plus
zigzagging the same main exit road as we made our way in the same
direction as said road. I must admit though. The GPS did exactly what
    you told it...

  6. DING

There's a quite tight hairpin just before boulogne, I'd got to the
point of ignoring the slow down bend signs because up to that point
they'd all been easily taken at an enthusiastic pace. The flashing
lights, and extra warning signs made me slow down a bit. Tight left
and an immediate right on a down hill section with no escape route, I
did wonder how many it claimed before the markings were increased.

Err - in my defence, I was ratted - the room was spinning and I couldn't

  11. well precisely. I've done the ride out of Calais once. I'd worked out
what direction and what road I wanted - absolute piece of piss. I
continue to be amazed at how people can get lost in such circumstances.

I'll accept that on the french run I did a year or so ago I did stop
twice to confirm that I was at the right place and going the right way.

Yes. You've *two* email addresses in your "From" name. One is a
spamtrap, and the other is a spamtrap. Surely one would suffice.

Batey has his name twice, and an email address with underscores and a
    supplementary domain.

  16. But we wern't lost [1], we knew exactly where we where. Ian can probably
give you a full track of where we went.

[1] well to within 6 ft or whatever the resolution is on his GPS.

My recent experiences of GPS have failed to convince me of its superiority

Of course you weren't lost. You knew exactly where you were in relation to
    your GPS at all times.

  20. Coming back to the hotel on Saturday afternoon with Antonye and Kiran,
we got the "police ahead" warning light flash from motorists.

The next village was called, I kid you not, Arrest.

I was *so* tempted to hoon through it purely for the photograph of
myself being pulled over by the village roadsign.
