Chepy was Good. Thanks TOG

  1. Chris and I had a great time. so much so that she can't wait till the
    next time.

We had a very wet ride down from Newbury to Dover with Platy and
brother. however France was dry. We missed the 10:45 ferry but Salad
dodger was unable to get on the first ferry anyway for lack of tie
downs. We got on the 12:300 in glorious sunshine. It took us 4 hours (40
mins to get out of Calais) following the advice given by Snipers GPS. It
took us 70 mins to get back from Chepy to Calais this morning. We caught
the 11:45 ferry. It was good to see Prawn on the ferry, the fix I did
was still working. It was good to see everyone again. Till next time.

Thanks again TOG from Simon and Chris. Photos to follow...

I enjoyed it too. Fantastic trip, very relaxing, although possibly best
    summed up as..

"The French heard UKRM was coming over, so they closed the country for
    the weekend."

Us too. Things learnt over the weekend:

    1. Not getting utterly shedded in the evening makes riding the
following morning a lot more bearable.
    2. Blackbirds have considerable engine braking, which is unfortunate
when this coincides with the GoldWing engine room *just* shovelling in
a few more tons of coal.
    3. Ford Pumas with baked bean can exhausts can't outdrag fully laden
    GoldWings. :)
    4. Frog nosh is top stuff. (not a lesson, just a reminder)
    5. Don't drink lots of beer if the label has a duck on it.
    6. Keep Nigel Eaton away from any expensive items of furniture.
    7. Don't share a bath with Fr. Jack.
    8. Don't buy a Triumph Trophy from a Bristol dealership.

    Oh arse...

Clearly I *meant* top booze. But the top booze has yet to wear off
    completely.

Perhaps I should try the "puke in the bath" method of cleansing the
    system...
