  1. No. Someone who didn't check the p&p charge, as he should have, and was
then incensed by(a) an attempt to claw an extra £40 from the sale and
    (b) an offer to allow collection at a cost of £50.

I don't see his posts first hand because I put him in my blocked senders
list a while ago, it surprises me how ready people are to allow a thread to
get to this length pointlessly arguing a point to death with Spacker.

  3. Good point. He seems to have a chip on his shoulder. Well, more like a
whole serving of quartered spicy fries, actually.

Couple that with his readiness to throw out wild accusations of fraud
and lying to all and sundry, and you have a nasty piece of work, really.

  5. Point taken. It was an Ebay issue and a bike issue, though. Upce is
actually a very good, robust ng, with a lot of sensible and entertaining
    people on it.

Spacker, unfortunately, is not one of them.

If you had entered into a contract that stipulated £500, then that's what
you agreed to. If you wanted change the contract after you had entered into
it, you would have to do this with the agreement of the other party to the
contract. If you considered the contract to be invalid because it broke
Ebay's rules, then the whole contract was invalid, not just the part you
    didn't like.

At which point, it was all up for grabs. A mindful negotiator would have
endeavoured to move towards an advantageous resolution. Still, you've got
Packer frothing at the mouth, so it's not a complete waste.

    <disappointed>

Descending into name calling so soon? I was hoping for much more from
you. The cut and thrust of informed debate, the lunge and parry of
great minds wrestling with the issues at hand.

    You cock-sucking syphilis felching ****.

I guess that would depend if he was syphilitic before or after the
    felching.
