Cheap transport needed - Gold Coast to Canberra

Hi folks - back in Melb for the weekend and have a problem.
Bought a trailer on Ebay - $810 but it is up on the Gold Coast.
If I can get it to Canberra then I can tow it back home when my contract
runs out in two weeks time.
Suggestions please (Smiles will be offered for homour).
There must be a better way than driving all the way up myself....

fly up and rent a car

 

depends on how much you trust people ;-) I've done pretty well in the
past with trusting my instincts and asking for favours from strangers.
if it were me, id ring around or look on some backpackers web pages and
find someone doing the trip. they'd get the use of the trailer to haul
their gear and id pay them a bit of cash for gas. seems like everyone
could do ok out of it.

 

depends if one man can move it , if so ring some of the furnature
companys , many of them will accept "back load"
