Well, DUH! He'd miss the frisson of wondering how well he crimped the
ends on every time he hits the brakes,

Because I've never made up brake lines.

How hard can it be? It's going to be pretty much the same as any other
    plumbing job and I've made plenty of compression joints in the past;
which don't leak. These will be the same. No concerns about this bit
at all, plus I get to make the lines the correct length and angle the
connectors the right way at either end.

Hmmm. It's not illegal to take out life insurance on someone else,
    you know.
This is a fairly valid point, actually.

Pretty fucking hard when it seems BSR are ceasing trading and the orders
are being handled by Earl's Performance Products, managed to speak to
them and there seems to be confusion about who is handling my order.

Rather pissed off really because I need to get the brakes sorted before
I put a fairing on, finalise the sidecar setup etc. etc. etc.

The clock's ticking and I want to be confident I'm good to go!

    Grr.

Curses. They were a really useful source for all sorts of odds and ends.
I was just about to order some well nuts for the GFR fairing off them.

Thanks but have spoken to Earls and they've now posted the bits. Was
complete confusion between the two companies. Hope I've only been
    charged once...

Want to reduce the length of line to get better 'feel' and also because
I don't like the BMW way of routing brakes through that pipe that runs
down the middle of the steering head.

Well, Earls were as good as their word and the bits turned up today.
Made them up and positioned them. Need to change the bars to 'RT' spec
ones so made them longer. Will see whether they leak tomorrow I guess
when I swap the bars around...
