Cheap bike insurance.

  1. Hello to everyone

I seriously consider buying a bike to tak advantage of 2006 models sale
and I face insurance one obviously. Could anyone recommended me good,
cheap insurer, or some other tricks? I haven't been riding a bike for
decent 17 years, unfortunately none motorbike insurer seems to accept
no claim bonus coming from car insurance, so I apparently can't claim
it. It gives me Å 370 - Å 400 quotes I got so far, whereas I pay only
a half of this for my car (comprehensive option).

Any help will be gratly appreciated.

    Regards

    If you go here:

    http://www.moneysupermarket.com/bike/

and follow the second link down in the central box - where it says
"The Bike Insurer" it will take you to a form where you can enter your
details. Once you have worked your way through it, it will search 10
online motorcycle insurers for you and provide quotes from each of
    them for you.

I just did it and the best for my 1200cc Bandit was £89, the highest
    £128.

Fuckers won't quote if you're a T1 diabetic though, the cheeky, miserable,
    discriminating shits.

Don't be too hasty with your praise. These 'screen-scraper' programs
only look at a select few insurers, for a start. They only take very
basic details too. You will often find, once you get in touch with
the actual company that has provided one of these quotes that there is
a variation in price. Further, the new breed of online-only insurers
may offer a cut-down type of cover. I've had cheap quotes like this
before, but I pay the few quid extra and stick with Carole Nash
because I know the quality of service is high, breakdown recovery is
rolled in and they pay out promptly.

However, if you can save a shedload, go and do it. Don't blame me if
it blows up in your face though, OK?
