LLoyd Jardine did me for £45 worldwide just a year ago, after two years on a Guardian offer at £60. This year the renewal is £85... I should get back from my next trip about 6 or 7 hours before the current coverage ends. -- Ivan Reid, Electronic & Computer Engineering, ___ CMS Collaboration, Brunel University. Get a personal one then. Oh. Cunts. Still, I haven't used my platinum barclaycard for ages. Wonder where it is.
Perhaps when I get back into a job with more traveling. It's a bit pointlesas for now as I've sorted all the cover I need. Nigeria.
I got ours with direct line. cheapest for all I got quotes for. and yes it included any size bikes. also cost me £15 to add andy onto my annual policy. -- Adie (replace spam with nickname to reply) UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ Triumph 955iSS / GSF1200 bandit / CG125 MRO#11 BOTAFOF#7 BOTAFOT#130 DIAABTCOD#17 MIB#24 YTC#16 BOB#15 ex-UKRMMA#22 BOMB#11
I use BUPA. Unlimited travel, plus something like 21 days' skiing, all the usual medical, personal effects and injury cover, costs about £90 a year for a family of four. It actually went *down* a few quid this year. Amazing. IIRC, that does exclude the US. Add the US in and it's a bit more, because of their medical costs, but you can always add it later if you want. When you consider that I've just been quoted £112 insurance just for a two-week summer break (added by default to the on-line booking I was considering), it's a bargain - but then any "travel agent" insurance is a total rip-off anyway.
Really? I couldn't find motorcycling in the insured activities listed here http://www.directline.com/travel/annual_policy2.pdf , and when I rang to check they confirmed that I wouldn't be covered for motorcycle touring. So I gave them a miss.
well I specifically asked and they checked the details and told me it wasn't not covered. Ive checked the policy document myself and nothing was there. I'll check it again after Ive unpacked it from one of the many boxes cluttering our new home. -- Adie (replace spam with nickname to reply) UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ Triumph 955iSS / GSF1200 bandit / CG125 MRO#11 BOTAFOF#7 BOTAFOT#130 DIAABTCOD#17 MIB#24 YTC#16 BOB#15 ex-UKRMMA#22 BOMB#11
Ah. Your person seems to be saying "if it's not excluded it's included", mine "if it's not included it's excluded". I was inclined to believe mine because the policy has a section headed "Insured Activities". With luck your person will be right, and I'll try them for a quote next year.
