Need some insurance for my collection, but with an insurer that will
accept modifications. I had a decent quote of £80 odd for a year's on
    a standard 81 gpz550, my tuned 81 gpz550 'fighter and gpz11 powered
z1000R lawson rep both being hammered because of the modifications.

What I need is a uk insurerer that will not charge me a 300% loading
    on 10-15% extra power.

    were saying :
Sorry - £80 for three bikes, and you're complaining?

    Jaysus.

I'd quite like to pay less than £70 for tpft on a VeloSolex(1), but can't
seem to find anybody with a dose of realism.

Problem I've got is that they ask if I have a full motorbike licence, and
can't get their head round my not needing one... Try explaining about Class
P, and they just sound blank and repeat "So - you want motorbike insurance,
but don't have a motorbike licence...?"

<me spots excuse to do DAS>

    (1) Stop laughin'. Please.

I read that as £80 for just the standard gpz550.
