As yet, not that has been reported. TBF it's quite possible that one or more
workers at the plant and some residents may do. The former as a result of
external radiation dose and all of them are at risk of having inhaled a
radioactive particle. Many people can cope with a lot of the former, the
latter is a one way street.

It's a ginormous **** up whatever way you look at it. I expect it's the end
of nuclear power development for a while. It took 20 years to get over
Chernoble. This is a bad thing for CO2 production and ending dependancy on
gas/oil supplies from unfriendly cuntries.

With a lot of skillsets and people in physics and radiation engineering one
had been considering the opportunities a new nuclear power program might
present. One wont be wasting any further investment. But hey I find
Caroline Lucas hugely and compellingly attractive so I may as well jump
ship.... if Sweller isn't already sniffing ;o)

early closure of older UK plants that have been extended?

I would imagine that most people who have nothing at all to do with anything
nuclear have about as much idea about nuclear generation as you do about how
a helicopter is steered or what to do if the donkey quits.
