  2. I think in theory only the Monarch owns the land. we own "estates" or
    interests.

    The only legal estates in land are a fee simple absolute in possession
    and a terms of years absolute.

    That was what I thought.

    It's all bollocks though really. If you own it, you own it whatever the
    Monarch says. The only people who are going to take it off you are the
    Government if they slap a CPO on it.
