It's my fault, or rather it's my wife's fault. Last night she saw a chap on telly who looked like Charlie so I asked if he was still alive. After a quick Google I found that he was and proceeded to look for him on Youtube etc. so that my daughter could see who he was. Wonder what time he popped 'em? Spooooooooky. Sorry, Charlie.
Andy Bonwick wrote Unlikely I would have thought. In my memory he is from a time when I was wearing short trousers which puts it 40 some years ago and I doubt there are more than half a dozen other around these parts who can remember more.
He was funnier than Norman Wisdom, especially in the 'jumping through a bookcase' sketch on live television.
