Oh yeah, now I remember who came up with the idea to get this kid a
    motorcycle donated...

Here's an idea, since you think Chris is so "nice"...why not let his
uncle ride your motorcycle since he has no transportation? I'm sure
he'll take good care of it until you can ride again...as if ever.

For those who might wish to see how this whole thing evolved:

    Newsgroups: tx.motorcycles
    Subject: help
    Lines: 5
    Message-ID: <1xGOa.525947$>

    1xGOa.525947$

And then just read through the thread...

Some of the postings weren't archived, but you can get the idea from
    the text in the bodies.

I just feel bad for Charles in this deal. He's the one who tried to
help the most by giving up his bike where others had motorcycles they
    could've helped with but didn't. I guess it's always best when a
situation like this arrises to ask the person(s) who start the whole
thing up why they themselves won't put forth any effort or
sacrifices...and then judge your actions based on the answer(s)
received. Maybe Charles is ok with this, but I have trouble accepting
    that this situation is "okay"...

What part did you not understand that if you're all up into this
"generous" thing and it's ok to give bikes to others, why aren't you
giving your bike to Chris or his uncle?
You're right. There are/were many here who refused to have anything to
do with your dumb-ass idea to give this kid a motorcycle...and this is
    why.
It's not like I'm going to Oklahoma to be a "busy body". He's posting
(by your recommendation) to this TEXAS newsgroup.
Picking on him? This isn't romper room and that kid doesn't have any
business or responsibility to owning a motorcycle. He's been proving
that over the last several months (in this thread especially)...and
I'm not the only one seeing it. There are quite a number of people,
and even some who talked about helping to get him a motorcycle, who
are saying the same thing I'm saying.
Oh, by the way, what exactly did you do for your friend to help him
get a motorcycle? Did you give him the motorcycle? Did you trailer it
up to him? Did you give him parts? Did you do anything other than
recommend him to post here begging for a motorcycle?

We're not your personal hand-out space of the www for the needy. This
kid made it sound like he was well able to be responsible enough to
own a motorcycle. He made it sound like he wanted to get involved in
motorcycling so bad. He made it sound like he couldn't afford anything
and just wanted to tinker with a motorcycle until he was old enough to
ride. Here it is just a few short months later and he's giving the
motorcycle away and didn't tinker at all with it. All this was by your
"say so" (Charles even said "for a friend of Sunny's"). Well, where's
    your "say so" now?

I'll be more than happy to provide Charles with a trailer to go pick
    his motorcycle back up...
Yeah, well hopefully the deer will watch out for you...and the cows,
birds, turtles, pigs, ponies, sheep, and any of the other livestock
that might happen to be in your path. "PK" needs to erect a warning
sign for you now that you're trying to ride a motorcycle...again. I
wonder if the livestock out there will recognise a silouette of you? I
guess "PK" could just use the left over speed bump warning signs.
